INNOVISION, founded in 1981, as a film production company produced its first feature film in Hindi titled IRAADA with popular and leading star cast of Shatrughan Sinha, Praveen Babi, Moon Moon Sen, Om Puri, Ranjeet & Amrish Puri etc.
In 1982 Innovision launched its Motion Picture Equipment rental house under Innovision Cine Services. The Company was awarded by IAAFA( Indian Academy Of Advertising & Film Art) for technical excellence two consecutive years in 1993 and 1994 as the Best Camera Crew of the Year. Soon Company became a leading motion picture camera rental House.
In, 1983 Innovision was one of the first and premier Indian independent company to venture into import and distribution of foreign films and television programs under it’s entity INNOVISION FILM & TV DISTRIBUTION. First foreign feature film THE NEVER-ENDING STORY was released theatrically all over India. The TV show DIFF’RENT STROKES was the first foreign TV series ever aired under sponsored category on national television and many special events like GRAMMY AWARDS, ACADEMY AWARDS ( OSCAR) and MISS UNIVERSE PAGEANT were exclusively licensed by Innovision and broadcasted for the first time on Indian television. In sports the events like WIMBELDON, U.S. OPEN and WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT BOXING were introduced for the first time to the television viewers in India.
Later Innovision went on to produce the longest running weekly sport magazine show SPORTLIGHT on national television . Since then Innovision has imported and released more than 200 feature films theatrically and over 1000 hrs of TV shows of all genres across India as well other South Asian Countries like Pakistan , Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal & Bhutan, etc. Innovision is also produced Short filmes for THPI ( Thakur Hariprasad institute of Reasearch and Rehabilitation for the mentally handicapped) and SUPREME Builders A leading Infrastructure Construction companies.
Innovision was the first company to market Cricket matches world over and Innovision was the sole licensee and marketing agency of the Pakistan Cricket Board from 1989 to 1993 to market all the cricket matches organised by PCB. Many blockbuster and acclaimed Hollywood films like TRAFFIC, GANGS OF NEWYORK, AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS, GODSEND, AUTUMN IN NEWYORK, ASTERIX & OBELIX VS. CEASER and MISSION CLEOPETRA,etc have been imported and released theatrically all over India including neighbouring countries.
